Say Your Affirmations Aloud
Monday I posted on Instagram about how important it is to Say Your Affirmations Aloud .
It’s a practice I’ve known about but after some inspiration from a friend I decided to try implementing it into me and Nylahs daily routine.
This would be an excellent place to insert a thought on anything “daily” when it comes to being a mom.
As hard as we may try, making things happen every singe day can be a challenge.
Take a deep breath sis, that’s ok. It’s not the end of the world if your child misses a bath, falls asleep without brushing their teeth, or if you don’t wake up with enough time for morning affirmations daily. What counts is giving it your best shot again the next chance you get…except for the baths and teeth, get that shit done the next day fasho fasho 😂
For todays blog I thought it would a great idea to share the affirmations I have written and posted for Nylah to say to herself. This way you have references if you decide to start doing this with your mini- even better, for yourself.
Nylahs are posted towards the lower half of our mirror on purple sticky notes, while mine are higher up and in pink. I do plan on switching them out once I feel like she’s reading them on her own and knows all of the words by sight.
Let me say, she really enjoys doing these. I 100% believe it builds up her confidence and self-awareness before I send her off with a bunch of other people, energies, and opinions for the day.
The most important thing to me is that my daughter knows as long as she likes herself, nothing else matters.
I AM FUNNY.
I AM SUPPORTED.
I AM WORTHY.
I AM STRONG.
I CAN BE WHATEVER I WANT TO BE.
I AM SMART.
I AM BEAUTIFUL .
SO MANY PEOPLE LOVE ME. I AM LOVED.
I make sure she says them clearly. I make sure she says them loudly. I make sure she says them confidently. I make sure that when she says them she’s looking at herself in the eyes and is standing up straight.
I strive to ensure she is not just saying them, but believing them.
If you enjoyed these make sure you are signed up for my newsletter where this week I will will be sharing the affirmations I currently have up for myself.
Until next week,
